What we've been up to lately

-Cory-

Other than going to the Clinic everyday, he has been extremely busy helping me out at home.  Having two little children under 20 months doesn't give us much free time, but, we are enjoying it most of the time :).  He loves coming home to wrestle and play with the babies.  In his "free" time, he has been doing a lot of reading.  I swear, this guy never goes anywhere without a book.  He is either reading a book, or browsing through Amazon to see what book he wants to purchase next :).  Just the other day I bought him a St. Patrick's day pin that said "Irish for a day" and the only way I could get him to wear it was by telling him he could buy a 10 dollar book if he wore it ;).  Cory's most recent activity was creating a poster board on Catholicism to be displayed outside the school chapel for diversity week.  Tuesday was religion day, so the different groups were asked to represent their religion by putting together a board that explained the specific religion. Cory was VERY thorough and stayed up til 3:30 am working on the board.  He did a great job!

I have been one busy mom.  The last few months have been both the best and the craziest times of my life.  I LOVE being a mom of two children.  They bring so much joy to my life, but I am not going to lie, it is extremely challenging sometimes.  This is definitely the most selfless time of a parents life.  I feel like I am finally catching a SMALL glimpse of Christ's love for us and the sacrafices He made for us.  I am really trying to embrace my life as a stay at home mom and to do my best during the day to make our home environment a happy, comfortable, loving place, meanwhile making sure that I am making time for prayer and relaxation.  I find I have to lean on God much more than I have ever had to before children, but that is a good thing!  In my "free" time I am participating in a bible study (the book of Esther) with other medical/dental wives, I have play-dates with fellow moms, and "date nights" with Cory (playing games, watching movies, bible study, etc).  I recently went to a great Women's conference put on by the Phoenix Diocese.  It was so nice to spend a day growing in my faith.

This little 19 month old is growing into quite the little boy.  He is full of love, joy, laughter, goofiness, opinions, and strong will :).  He loves the outdoors, dogs, his sister, looking at pictures, watching sesame street, lamb chops play along, and veggie tales, and he is really into walking in circles ;).  He has started talking a lot more and will repeat a lot of words we say to him.  He makes us laugh all the time and is one of the goofiest kids I know.  Joey is sensitive and very loving.  He also has strong opinions about when he wants to eat, when he wants to go or stay outside, when he wants to go to bed, and his strongest opinion is about who can hug his mom :).  He is such a joy! I love watching him grow each day and learning new things.

What an amazingly sweet and smiley girl miss Gen is.  All you have to do is look at her and she gives us a huge smile.  She is really easy going about 80 percent of the time.  Unless her stomach is bothering her she is a happy baby.  Some things she loves: her pacifier, her daddy, Joseph, kisses, stroller rides, and her food.  We love this little girl so much!
