All about Genevieve

Our little girl will be 3 months old on Monday!  She is such a sweet girl.  Gen smiles at us all the time.  She is even starting to make sweet cooing noises.  I forgot how much I love hearing a baby try to talk to you!  She is an awesome sleeper! she sleeps about 12 hours straight...sometimes I have to re-swaddle her, but she always goes right back to sleep. I feel like a new person now that I am getting so much sleep!

She adores her big brother.  I often catch him going up to her and hugging her, smiling at her, and kissing her!  Today, when I went to get them out of the car, I noticed Joseph's hand was in her car seat under the blanket.  I moved the blanket to find him holding his sisters hand!  How sweet is that?

I have been so bad about giving Gen "tummy time" lately.  So I decided that at the same time everyday I would make sure she had "tummy time" starting yesterday.  Today when I put Gen on her tummy she immediately rolled to her back!  WOW...she is picking it up pretty quickly.

We are still trying to figure out what is causing her to be uncomfortable at night.  Because of some major problems with Thrush Cory and I made the extremely tough decision to stop breastfeeding.  As emotional of a decision as it was, we felt it was the best thing to do (but that is a totally different story).  Anyways, we have tried sensitive formula, and now we are trying Soy formula...it is hard to tell if she is lactose or just allergic to formula.  I was allergic as a baby...so who knows.

Otherwise, life is good with two babies! We are enjoying getting to know Gen better. Here are a few of my favorite recent pictures of Genevieve.
I am obsessed with bows lately.  They are so fun, but often, very impractical!  I can't count the number of times we have arrived at our destination and the bow is over her eyes, yet she didn't make a peep.

I also love sleeping baby pictures! How can you pass those by?  What a sweet sleeper!

  1. Hahahahahahaha!! It made me laugh out loud about the bows...so true! I make Elina wear them and they just fall down. The things we do to our kids!
