Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday Cory, Joseph, and I went to a pumpkin patch nearby.  It is finally getting cool enough to be outside for an extended amount of time.  It was only 93 degrees while we were there :).  It felt strange to be wearing summer clothes while looking at pumpkins!  Joseph just LOVED being there.  He is getting to the age where he notices everything and really enjoys our family outings.  We are trying to do something fun each weekend so he can experience different activities and we can all spend quality time together.

This particular pumpkin patch had a petting zoo, a big corn kernal box (like a sandbox), a bounce house, food, tomato launcher, and a TOUGH corn maze.  First we took some time to pet the animals, then we took our hiking backpack and off we went into the corn maze....30 minutes later we made it out (I will mention it took two 10 year old boys to help guide us out).  After the corn maze we took some family photos, and then threw Joey into the corn box :).  He had such a great time and was mad when we took him out.  Luckily his sippy cup of water took his mind off of the fun box of corn :).  Finally we picked out three pumpkins and a jar of jam and made our way home.

I am so thankful for the time we were able to spend together and I am looking forward to more holiday fun.  I just love this time of year. We have our pumpkin spice candles out and our fall decorations too. Even though it is still warm here, we are doing our best to creat a fun Fall atmosphere :).

Here are a few pics from our fun trip to the Pumpkin Patch :).

He LOVED the corn box :)

Cory was holding a baby chick, Joey was not quite sure what to think of it.

  1. We took the girls there last year and they absolutely loved it too. Ava loved the corn box and wanted to run through the maze, it was hard to find all of the check points. Its still in the 90's here too and hard to feel like fall. Glad you guys had a fun time, fun family outings are the best.
