Friday Reflection

As I was sitting in my small little apartment today, feeling Joseph kicking in my tummy, I couldn't help but think about the many ways Cory and I have been blessed this year.

1. First of all, we are so excited that God has given us our first son. Everytime I feel him moving, I am reminded of the miracle growing inside of me. We are truly enjoying this pregnancy, but we are also very excited to meet this little boy of ours.

2. One of our greatest blessings has been the way God has financially taken care of us. Earlier this week we found out that Cory was hired as an Resident Advisor on campus here. As an RA we will get over $300 taken off of our rent each month. With the baby on the way, we decided to upgrade to one of the bigger apartments on campus. With this job, we will be paying the same amount we are paying this year, but we will be living in a bigger apartment :).

3. We also received a scholarship for $3,000 from the school, which will cover our costs for the summer! Just a few days before we found out about this scholarship, Cory and I were talking about how we would cover the cost of living over the summer. Then we found out about this scholarship, and you can only imagine how blessed we felt.

4. Both Cory and I have had plenty of work. Cory got a work study job 4 days a week that allows him to study the entire time. So basically, he is getting paid to study :). I have been substitute teaching and I have recently been getting a lot of jobs.

5. Although we have had many more blessings, the last one I will mention is that we were finally reimbursed for the hospital expenses from last August when I fainted at church :). We did not have health insurance at the time and so we had to pay for everything out of pocket. After this incident I had to apply for the state health insurance. I was accepted and they reimbursed me for everything we had to pay. God is so good!

So as you can see, we are very blessed and we cannot thank God enough for all that he has given us!
