So I thought this was a picture of Joseph's feet, but now I am questioning myself and thinking it might be his hand....maybe you can decide :).
This is a picture of Joseph's head. Imagine he is lying down on his back, with his head to the right of you and his legs to the left.On Monday morning I had my 23 week doctor appointment and I am happy to announce everything looked wonderful! I had to laugh, because when my Dr. came into the room looking at my chart the first thing he said was, "Oh good, you gained weight!!!" I was like...oh wonderful :) (sarcastically of course). It is not everyday that you hear a doctor say that it is a good thing you gained weight, but he seemed very pleased. He also said my blood pressure was good.
After all of the small talk, we got to the exciting part of the appointment. We did an ultrasound and got to see Joey. This was probably my favorite ultrasound so far. Joey looked great and he was putting on a show for us. He was opening and closing his mouth and you could see his tounge! It was amazing! Dr. Mckernan kept saying "Oh, Athena, look how adorable your little guy is!" It was so great to hear that from the doctor. We also saw his heart beat, his feet and his hands extended (which, according to my doctor, is a good sign). After seeing him today I am so anxious to meet him outside of by womb. Just the other day Cory was telling me that he keeps finding himself thinking about how he wishes Joey was out now so he could play with him, but then he remembers how fun this experience is too! We definitely do not want to rush anything, but we are most definitely excited about our new adventure.
He's gonna be such a charmer, what with his amazing parents and all...
ReplyDeleteFather QTN and I were talking last night about how mothers should be proud of the weight they gain when they have kids. It means that they put their family above their vanity. AND it makes for a healthy pregnancy! So, go Mama Gaunt!
