We have a kindergartner

Joey started kindergarten this fall!  He was so excited.  We are homeschooling, but we are going through a school in the school district that works with homeschooling families.  One day a week he attends a kindergarten class and then is homeschooled the rest of the week.  I am loving it and so is he.

His school is this really old school house.  He is in one of the original classrooms.  I just think it is so cute.

Gen was sad to see her buddy leave her for the day, but we had fun girl time while he was gone.

It was much harder for me than I anticipated....I got over it :).

Now here are photos of our homeschool room.  We turned our formal dining room into a school room/baby play room.

So far I have really enjoyed teaching.  Joey is such a great student.  We always start our work at 9am and are done between 10:30-11:30 every day.  He is learning so fast! We are almost done with his reading program for this level and will finish kindergarten math by January.  This is the beauty of homeschooling, I can really teach to his level and move him up when he is ready.
