Baby #3

The first time I was pregnant, my whole day revolved around that pregnancy.  With baby #2, I was able to focus a little attention on it, but by the time baby #3 came around, my life has been a complete whirl wind and BAM I am already 30.5 weeks pregnant.  In two months we will be meeting this sweet baby, and I feel like the pregnancy has flown by.  Before this baby decides to come out, I thought I would share a few reflections so years from know, this baby won't look back on this blog and be like "what the heck mom, was I not important?"  :).

1.  Like I said before, this pregnancy is flying by.  We found out we were expecting in April, the day I was driving to Seattle for 2.5 weeks to watch my nieces while their parents were in France.  We went to church that morning, full of utter joy and then went out to lunch after.  It was there that we decided on a name for a boy and a girl.  Since we have decided not to find out the gender, we also have decided to keep the names a secret.  The anticipation, I know :).

2. Most of my trip to Seattle I avoided any morning sickness, but by the end of the 2.5 weeks deep exhaustion set in.  I was so tired.  That is always my first symptom.

3. This pregnancy reminds me a lot of my pregnancy with Joey.  I crave sweets like no other, I failed the one hour glucose test, and passed the 3 hour. So my prediction, a boy!

4. The big difference from this pregnancy and the last one is my belly size.  The most common thing people say to me is, "your so small."  So when I went to my dr. appointment yesterday I was not surprised to hear, "you are measuring small, we would like to do an ultrasound next visit to make sure the baby is doing okay, but don't worry, the baby could just be sitting lower, or something."  Okay, I am telling myself over and over again their is no point in worrying.  This could just be my smallest baby yet. Joey was 9.5lbs and Genna was 7.14lbs.  Plus with the holidays coming around, this baby is sure to get some fatty foods :).

5.  Another new symptom is my varicose veins.  They are insane.  I wear ted hose and if I don't, I hurt pretty bad.  I have one on my shin and one on my ankle that has exploded, at least that is what it looks like.  If I stand for too long I get a pool of blood on top of my foot.  Also, my veins in my upper inner thigh are so fat and hard.  Not fun, but I am blessed to have this baby, so I try not to complain too much. :).

We are so excited to meet this new member of our family.  Each child has completely changed the dynamics of our family and I can't wait to see what happens with this one.  Thanks for all your prayers and support!
