Gauntlet Quotes

Joey had been fishing on the dock and he decided he wanted to make a s'more at the fire, so I was walking with him to the fire pit and as we just get off the dock, Cory who had taken Joey's pole and continued to fish yells out, "I caught a fish!"
Joey stops in his tracks, holds up his hand and yells "Grandma, Grandpa, I caught a fish!" and then runs back on the dock to reel it in.
Haha, he totally took the credit for the fish Cory caught.

As we were about to bury our 14 year old dog, Jackson, our family was remembering fun stories of our little dog.  There were lots of tears and sharing of sweet and funny stories of the little guy.  I knew Joey loved Jackson so I thought maybe he has a story to share.
Me: Joey do you have a favorite memory of Jackson?
Joey: Yes! My favorite memory of Jackson was when we put him in that hole. He points to the hole in the ground we had dug to put Jackson in.
There was a pause and then the entire group erupted in laughter.   Poor guy had no idea how bad that sounded.

We went to visit a friend who had a baby about 18 hours earlier and Joey was really into the baby.  He kept asking me if we could have our baby now too.  He had been very sweet during the visit and moments before we were about to leave I look at Joseph and he is jumping by the bassinet, rubbing his head and patting his tummy and making silly noises and facial expressions.  I told Joey to calm down and he said: "But mom, I am trying to make the baby (18 hours old mind you) laugh!"   So sweet. haha.

Me: Joey, what color are your eyes?
Joey: Brown!
Me: Genna what color are your eyes?
Genna; Pink!!!

Me: Genna I am so glad you are my daughter!
Genna: I not a daughter, I a girl!

When Genna is hungry she opens her mouth wide and practically puts her finger down her throat to tell us she needs food.
