Disclaimer: I have been the WORST blogger recently, but if you knew how busy we have been you would understand.
1. We are 17 weeks pregnant. Next week is our big ultrasound....but we won't be finding out the sex, so all it means is checking on the health of our baby :). I actually have no desire to find out, so your hopes for me giving in should go away :). So far, the second trimester has been great. I have a few back/hip pains, but I have been super busy I don't really have time to think about feeling yucky. Just continuing to pray for a healthy baby and delivery.
2. A month ago we found out the owner of our home is selling. Ugh. We already had a packed summer, but now we are even more busy. We found a house just down the road that is owned by good friends of ours who are moving away. So kind of bitter sweet, but at least we have a place.
3. Weddings, weddings, weddings. My goodness I am practically eating, drinking and sleeping weddings. In July I was in my hs friends wedding in Snohomish. It was beautiful and I was so honored to be a part of all her festivities. In August we are driving to Palm Springs, CA for my older sisters wedding. In September I am flying to Denver for my best friends wedding. With all these weddings I have had/will have to travel a ton. Just in July I drove to Seattle by myself twice. The last trip was hard on my body. I am glad I don't have to drive back to Seattle any more this summer.
4. We are loving the beautiful weather we have been getting recently. Joey and Genna love going to the beach and Joey has become quite the water bug. At my parents lake house, he was jumping off the dock into the deep water with his life vest and loved it. I am so proud of him for not being afraid to do things like that.
5. Last weekend my BF getting married in Denver decided she needed a break from wedding planning and came to visit. It was great to have her here and she was so flexible with allowing me to still get things done. I had to weed our flowerbed and mow the lawn when she was here. I did give her a break by taking her to my parents lake house over the weekend. My sisters were both there so it was a great family reunion.
6. My little sister Tara and her husband moved back to Washington! It is so great to have them back. Tara just got hired as a kindergarten teacher for the Burlington-Edison school district. I could not be happier for her.
7. Overall life has been going very well for us. Cory loves Dentistry and is doing a great job. He works so hard for our family and we are spending so much time together. I am blessed with a supportive and loving husband and I thank God every day for him. He is truly my best friend and even though we are incredibly busy, I love that we get to survive this together.
