7 Quick Takes

1.  Potty training has taken over my life, but I am happy to say for Joey it has been successful.  We have gone 3 days without one accident!  I am sure we will have accidents, but he is wearing big boy underwear and he has been waiting until we go to the bathroom to go potty.  We planned to keep him in pull-ups when we went out of the house, but yesterday we totally forgot and brought him to church in underwear.  He did great.  After 3 years straight of diapers, it is so nice to be slowly stopping that...at least until baby #3 comes in the picture.  (No, not an I'm prego announcement)

2. We are celebrating Thanksgiving this week with Cory's family. This will actually be my first Thanksgiving with his side of the family.  Since we have been married we spent this holiday in Arizona, so now that we are home we can actually spend it with them.  Looking forward to a Gaunt Thanksgiving :).

3. We are also celebrating 8 years as a couple on Friday.  I can't believe it has been that long since we started dating.  I remember like it was yesterday.  I have never felt more sure about another person.  It was pretty soon after we started dating that I knew he was the one.  So grateful to God that he placed Cory in my life.

4. Genevieve is sure on a singing kick lately.  She loves to sing in the car, in bed, on the toilet, in my arms, in church when it is quiet and everyone is trying to pray silently...at least she was singing "Jesus loves me!"

5. Lately Genevieve has been announcing she "did it" after everything she does...or doesn't do.  For example, I put her pull-up on and she clapped and said "I did it."   If Cory puts something on her plate, she says she "did it."  haha.  Poor girl.  It is so hard to tell her, no you didn't do it.

6. I forgot how much I love Fall weather.  I love bundling up with a blanket and watching a movie or reading a book.  Speaking of books, I need a good recommendation.  Let me know if you have one :).

7. I am so looking forward to celebrating Advent with my kids.  This year will be fun because Joey is old enough to really understand certain aspects of it.  Any ideas of sharing advent with a 3 year old would also be awesome.
