Last weekend I went to LA to meet up with 4 of my girlfriends from high school! One friend (liz) flew in from Providence, 2 flew down from Seattle (lara and kaleigh), and I of course came from Phoenix. Our friend Amy lives in Covina and offered her home for all of us for the weekend.
Special thanks to Cory who not only took care of both babies all weekend alone, but as we were driving to the airport, Joey got sick and vomited all over. I felt so guilty leaving him, but he insisted I go. It was so nice to get a break from my regular responsiblities. He did so well with both of them and I know they had as much fun as they could with a sick boy.
My highlights from the trip were:
-laying on the beach at Newport Beach. We swam in the ocean and jumped the waves. I literally had the best time and the big joke was me saying that was the hardest I had laughed in 10 minutes...because we literally laughed so much on this trip.
-Meeting Amy's new boyfriend.
-Walking along Rodeo drive and seeing all the big name stores where celebrities tend to shop. It was a fun experience for sure.
-Visiting Santa Monica and eating at Bubba Gumps.
-Laying by the pool and drinking a margarita.
- Kaleigh is getting married early this summer, so it was fun to talk wedding details and look through her bridal magazines.
So many fun things happened, but mainly I just thoroughly enjoyed chatting with my girls.
