Mother's Day Surprise

*Note* The surprise is at the end of this blog (and no...I'm not pregnant) beware, it is not for the weak of stomachs :).

This Mother's Day was full of excitement and fun.  It started off with a pedicure.  Cory and Michael (Alyssa's husband) surprised us by sending us out for a pedicure! Such a sweet gift.  It was fun chatting with my dear friend too!

Alyssa is such a fun person to hang out with.  She was my first friend in Arizona.  She has a son named Caden, and a little one due to arrive in November!

On Sunday Cory made us French Toast for breakfast and then we packed up the babies and went to the Zoo.  It was a very nice, WARM day.  Joey loves being outdoors and he LOVES animals.  So we knew he would have a blast, but poor Genevieve was not into the heat :(.  Luckily she got used to it and ended up sleeping for a lot of the morning.  Joey loved pointing out all the animals and Cory loved showing them to him.

Thankfully they had a splash park.  Joey wasn't too certain he wanted to play in there, but then he got used to it and was cracking up!

Next Cory found this fun creek and Joey was in HEAVEN!  My favorite part was when he was eating his sandwich and walking down the creek.  He tripped over the dam and fell face first into the water.  His sandwich got soaked and he immediately put it in his mouth! GROSS! haha.
Gen was so tired, so I had to catch a cute photo of her sleeping!
What 20 month old can stop to eat? Cory literally followed him around feeding him his PB&J sandwich!
Every mom has to get a picture with their kids on Mother's Day!
This was the awesome Orangutang center.  They were soo funny and cute.  They totally put on a show.  Joey loved it.
Cory and Joey went into the Monkey Village. These monkey's just climb above you in the trees...it is awesome to see.
Gen needed to eat, so my lovely husband offered to feed her while I played in another splash park with Joey.

After getting soaking wet, and getting shoved around by some big kids (of course after lots of fun) he was cold, tired, and sad.  We had to take off his wet clothes and continue our ride to the car.  This is Joey pointing to the flamingo's as we are walking back.
He was soo tired when we got to the car.  He never sleeps in his car seat, but as you can see he did on Mother's day.  The last one was his face when he woke up....had us laughing pretty hard.

After the Zoo we went to our favorite Mexican restaurant.  We went with our good friends Erin and David.  We had a nice dinner, but as we were finishing up, Joey started gagging, then screaming.  This could only mean one thing.....vomit.  Cory immediately decided to pick him up and try to run for the bathroom.  Why he thought that was a good idea is beyond me...because the moment he picked him up Joey vomits ALL over our table, mainly hitting Cory's almost finished plate!   This elderly woman was walking by and she literally gasped out loud and turned to look at us.  Her husband hurried her along.  Had Cory started walking to the bathroom I guarantee he would have a) vomited on another table or b) hit the line of people waiting to be seated!  We, of course felt so bad for joey, but we also were laughing so hard after we realized what happened.  My friend Erin couldn't stop laughing because she said it reminded her of a movie when  you see someone vomit and you know they are using a hose to make it look powerful.  Luckily Joey recovered quickly and was laughing and talking to us.

Oh, that is a Mother's Day I will NEVER forget! haha.
