We Are Going Camping
So Cory and I decided that we are going to take Joseph camping this weekend. We love to camp and decided it is about time to introduce it to him =). Plus, our good friends Amy and Erik are moving to Texas and they have been wanting to go camping with us. We decided to go just one night to test it out with Joseph. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on the best way to camp with a baby. He tends to kick out of his covers all the time, so if you have any suggestions on how to keep him warm other than warm clothes and a hat I would greatly appreciate the help! Hi Athena! We took Jack camping at 2 months and we bundled him up but then just put him in Bill's sleeping bag with him. we didn't get a whole bunch of rest by any means, but he was warmer (mind you, it was like 10 degrees out side- yikes!) Have a GREAT time! I am sure you will be good with temps there!
ReplyDeleteAll I can remember from my days working in a nursery was to bundle the kids up in blankets like a taco. arms and legs crunched together mind you. yes they will fuss but with love and coaxing they wear themselves out and sleep.
ReplyDeleteif you had a blanket put joey on one corner. then proceed to wrap the blanket around him. like child in swaddled clothes... hmm yeh thats it...
