7 Quick Takes Friday (vol. 1)

I decided to jump on the bandwagon, several of my friends who have blogs also do this on Friday's and it looks fun. So here we go.

  1. Joey now has two bottom teeth growing in. He has been pretty fussy because of it, but it is just a phase that we have to get through.
  2. Joey has been very attached to me lately. I can hardly leave the room without him screaming. I am trying not to run and pick him up immediately because I don't want him to get used to being held everytime he cries, but then again, I want to stop the crying.
  3. I LOVE strollers. When all else fails, if Joseph is having a rough day, we just go on a walk and it seems to make things better. Plus it is great for the two of us to get outside and get some exercise.
  4. Cory is going paintballing today with 50 of his classmates. It will be fun for him to get out and have some fun. I personally don't see the fun in getting hit with balls of paint, but whatever makes him happy I guess. haha
  5. I have been feeling called to start doing more at our local parish lately, but have been torn to what that will be and how I can use my gifts effectively. I also don't want to take away from being a good Mom and supportive wife to Cory. It would be nice to get involved with a mom and tots group so Joey could be with me, but it looks like if I want that to happen I may have to start it.....
  6. Just a few days ago I started to notice Joey has started doing something new. Whenever he finishes eating he has started to open his mouth wide and do a scream/growl. It is sooo funny to watch. The best part is it comes out of nowhere. He will be peacefully eating his cereal and then BAM, the yell comes. At least he is communicating to me that he is done...no guessing game needed over here.
  7. I can't believe Lent is almost over....this week coming up is Holy Week. This makes me wonder if I have done enough to prepare for Easter. I guess it is not too late. I can use this week to really prepare for the resurrection of Jesus.

  1. I miss you guys! Joey's got the cutest smiles ever! He is too adorable. :)

Lent feels like it's gone way too fast for me too. I'm looking forward to Holy Week, though. Elena and I volunteer in the nursery at church (RCIA, masses, etc). I feel like its a good way to offer my time and talent, and she gets to play with other kids.

Sounds like you guys are having lots of adventures! I love the picture of Joey and his friend in the double sink. :)
