We are thrilled to announce that our little man will be Baptized next Sunday, November 1st at our parish St. Helen's. My parents are flying up for the big event and my grandparents are already here for the winter (snow birds). We asked our friends Joey and Karen Schad to be the Godparents. Joey and Karen are our good friends over here. We met them when we first moved last summer. We all went to mass together. We felt very blessed to have met such an awesome Catholic couple when we moved here. When we met them, they were engaged, so we alos had the honor of attending their wedding in California. It was fun meeting all of their family and friends (Karen is the 5th of 5, and Joey is the 5th of 10).
They were thrilled when we asked them to be Joseph's Godparents. In fact, the day after we asked them, they went to daily mass in honor of him :). I think Joseph is pretty lucky to have them praying for him. Plus, his Godfather has the same name!
Please keep us in your prayers as we prepare for this beautiful sacrament! I am so excited for our little man.
