12 Quick Takes (Summer style) part 1

Wow...its been since April since I posted....so we are going to do a quick catch up. 

1. Lucia Elizabeth was Baptized on May 1.  We had a wonderful celebration with close friends and family.  Her Godparents pictured below are both great friends of ours and have both been a huge encouragement in our own faith and we couldn't be happier that they both agreed to be Lucia's Godparents.  It was a blessed day!

 

2. Mother's Day.  We spent the day at the lake in CDA.  Unfortunately it was super windy, but we had a great time anyway.  I'm so lucky to have such an amazing family.

 

 

 

3. We went camping at Diablo Lake in the North Cascades for Memorial Day Weekend.  It was so wet and cold all weekend, but we had a great time with my sister and brother in law.  What a beautiful place to camp...even in the rain :). 

 

4.  After Camping we drove to Sunriver, Oregon for a 5 day stay with Joey's Godparents and our good friends from our time in Arizona.  We were terrible about photo's...these are the best ones I have.  I know! Karen took some on her camera but I still haven't figured out how to get ahold of those (wink, wink Karen haha!)  Some highlights from the trip: Hot lava, birthday celebrations, swimming, coffee on the porch watching our kids nearly kill themselves racing in circles, visiting a brewery in Bend, and just laughing with one of my dearest friends.

 5. The kids got invited by their cousins to the end of the year carnival at their cousins school.  We had a lot of fun.  The face painting was amazing.

 

6.  The big kids had their first week long overnight with their aunt and uncle.  It was such a success we think this will become an annual tradition!

7.  We celebrated 8 years of Marriage this summer on June 27th.  Lucky me to be married to such a God loving man.  He has been such an encouragement in my faith and makes me want to be a better mom and wife every day.

8. We went to Seattle and saw one of our favorite families.  My college roommate and our babies one month apart!

9. Joey all dressed up as the ring bearer at my good friend Sarah's wedding! How adorable is he?

All of us girls together, all friends since freshman year of high school and officially all married!

 

And so many babies!

 

10. One of our good friends from college and Cory's roommate was ordained a Roman Catholic priest and we attended most of his ordination (had to leave to get to the wedding above) and attended his first Mass in Bellingham. What a treat!



11. Our college friends came to visit and we spent a day at Silverwood and a day at my parents lake house!  We had a blast.  We want them to move to Spokane :)

12. Girls weekend in Missoula with all the girls on my side.  So fun!
