Our sweet Genevieve turned 5. I don't know why, but when your child makes it to age 5 it seems like a huge milestone. Maybe because it means they are going into kindergarten, or it is just a reminder that I have been her mom for 5 years.
She is such a beautiful girl, inside and out. She loves to share with others and is extremely thoughtful. Her favorite thing to do is Art. She will color, paint, do a craft, etc. She often refers to herself as an Artist.
She is my busy bee. The girl never stops moving. Sometimes (when I'm patient) I will sit back and giggle just watching her move when she is expected to sit still, because I know she just can't help herself.
Genevieve has become a huge help to me lately. She loves to do the dishes. She can wash pans and bowls and clean off the plates after meal times. I'm loving the help, and she loves spending time with me. Win/Win!
Every Friday, Cory takes the girls to story time at the local library. Genevieve LOVES story time. She sits right up front and anytime there is a question her hand shoots straight up in the air and she can't wait to answer.
This girl is literally growing up before our eyes. She still says she plans to live with us forever, or at least be our neighbor, but we know that won't be her true feelings forever. We are trying to soak up each day with her (and the other children) and embrace every story, meal time, game of War or Carcassone, and every play doh session we can.
