7 Quick Takes

1.  Cory's youngest brother is staying in Spokane for a few months to hang out with family in between travel adventures.  We have really enjoyed having him home.  The kids are enjoying their Thursday nights with Uncle Kyle and we have enjoyed playing Settlers of Catan every Thursday after the kids go to bed.

2. Baby Lucy is due to arrive in less than three weeks!  We cannot wait to meet her. She is due on March 11.  I'm feeling my body getting ready, lots of contractions lately.   Any day maybe?  Or maybe not :).

3. Cory and I are still working with the high school youth at our church.  This photo below cracks me up.  We had to bob for apples and he took his job pretty seriously!

4. Lent has begun and we all started it off by attending our Ash Wednesday Mass.  It is always an adventure going to Mass by myself with the three littles, especially when I am 36 weeks pregnant, but they did awesome.  Praise God!  Of course we all took Ash Wednesday selfies as seen below.

5. A few weeks ago we transitioned Ava to the toddler bed.  She did so great.  We were hoping to also rid her of the pacifier, but as you can tell, that didn't happen.  We decided to pick our battle and try one new change first.   It has been so fun to see all three kids in the same room, but I have had to say goodbye to the glory days of her sleeping in until 9 or 10.  She is typically up between 7 and 8 now.

6. My mom took Joey and Genevieve ice skating for the first time last week.  They had an absolute blast.  I can't wait to go with them when I am not pregnant :).  So fun to watch these milestones.

7.  This last weekend was filled with celebrations.  On Saturday we celebrated Gen's anniversary of her Baptism.  Some family came for dinner and we had her blow out her Baptism candle.  She was on cloud 9 all day knowing it was a special day.

On Sunday, it was time to celebrate baby Lucy and two other babies from my church.  The mom's group through a beautiful diaper shower for us moms.  The other two moms are pregnant with their 5th child and I with my 4th.   It was a lot of fun visiting with the moms and celebrating these new lives.

  1. Cool diaper cake and roses!
I love that all three of my oldest are in the same room too! It is so sweet. Unfortunately, the early (and everyone!) wake up is hard, I agree!
Sooooo excited for your newest little gift!!!!!
