Top 10 ways my life has changed since having a second child

10.  I now want long hair, because I foresee a lot more pony tail days! Showers are more difficult to come by :).

9. I am having to learn to accept a mess every once in awhile.  Trying to keep my home as spotless as I would like is not realistic with two children under 19 months! ha.

8. Multi-tasking is my middle name right now.  Did you know I can breastfeed Genevieve and feed Joseph at the same time?

7. I am spending much more time outdoors with Joseph....going on walks is what gets us through our morning sometimes!

6. If it won't poison, poke, kill, hurt, bite, corrupt, or break, Joseph can play with it!  Today I found him playing with a packaged pregnancy test...and I just shrugged my shoulders and thought, I sure hope we don't have a random visitor right now :).

5. On a tough day, a chocolate chip cookie (and many prayers) can get you through....the more I eat gives me an idea of the type of day I have had.

4. I am much more willing to take out the garbage and recycling in the evening of a tough day :).  The long walk to the recycling bin helps me calm my mind :).

3. Sesame Street on youtube is now my favorite youtube station.  It has saved me several times while feeding Genevieve. Joey loves it....and Lamb Chops play along on youtube.  Thank you internet!

2. You can pretty much find me with a child in my arms at all times.  Sometimes both.  (I wouldn't want it any other way).

And the #1 way my life has changed since having a second child is.....

1. I have much more love in my life!  The cuddles, the laughter, the smiles, the giggles, all of it.  I am so blessed with two beautiful, healthy children and even though at times I am a walking zombie, I realize how luck cory and I are to have Joseph and Genevieve in our life!

  1. Awesome post! I hear, ya! Btw, I've been meaning to email you back. I've been so busy it's ridiculous and my mom visited for a few days. Isn't it funny, though, how all the schedules mesh together? Though sometimes (ok, quite often), it feels like the kids are taken care of, but mommy and the rest of the house aren't?
