Genevieve's Big Day

Tomorrow, Feb. 20th, our little Genevieve Sophie will be Baptized.  We are so excited for her to enter the Body of Christ.  After a lot of consideration, we asked my sister Tara and her fiance Drew to be her Godparents.

Both Tara and Drew are great role models in their Catholic faith and I know they will both greatly impact Genevieve's faith life.  Tara is such a loving person.  She has been through her fair share in life, and has remained one of the most positive faithful people I know.  She has embraced her Catholic faith whole heartedly.  I look forward to Tara meeting Genevieve for the first time in a few weeks.

Drew became Catholic a few years ago.  He went through the RCIA program at Western's Newman Center.  He received his sacraments at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bellingham.  It was an honor to be present for his big day.  Now he gets to be a part of our daughters big day too!  Drew is one of the NICEST people I know.  I honestly have never seen him be mean to anyone! He is so sweet and thoughtful. I couldn't have picked a better guy to marry my baby sister and now, to be our daughters Godfather. 

Unfortunately, they will not be able to attend the actual baptism, but I know they will be praying for her tomorrow and for the rest of her life.  Thank you Drew and Tara for accepting this role in our little girls life.  We love you and can't wait for you to meet her.
