Thanksgiving Part 2: Denver

Day 3:

After a great nights sleep, we got up on Wednesday and played with Amanda's 3 dogs...Titan, Scarlett, and Houston.  Joseph really loved the dogs.  Amanda had to work a half day, so we just relaxed and hung out with her dad, who was also there.  After she got home we went on a drive through Denver to sight see.  It was extremely cold, so we decided to stay in the car as we drove through town.  There wasn't a ton going on in downtown Denver. Amanda says it is because Colorado is such an outdoor state, most don't hang out downtown.  After the drive we came back home and had a nice lasagna dinner, watched some tv, and went to bed pretty early again...what can I say, we are getting old :).

Day 4:

Thanksgiving Day!  We spent the morning getting ready to head over to Amanda's boyfriends parents house for Thanksgiving dinner.  We made sure to give Joseph a good nap so he would be in a good mood before we left....unfortunately, moments before we left, but luckily moments after we took our Christmas photo, Joey slipped on the hardwood floor and got his first bloody lip.  There was so much blood I thought he was going to need stiches, but fortunately Cory assured me that he would be fine!  Poor guy.  He recovered pretty quickly and we were able to head over to Anthony's parents.

There were so many family members there, and we didn't know any of them.  Less than two minutes from getting there Joseph was being passed from one person to the next....finally I see him in Anthony's uncles arms and he is asking "Whose baby is this?" haha.  Joey is so friendly and goes to anyone willing to hold him.   After a group prayer, we sat down to eat the delicious dinner prepared by the family.  Joseph even got to enjoy his first Thanksgiving dinner.  He loved the cranberry sauce :) and the dessert!  After dinner, he worked off his energy by going up and down the stairs several times.  Thanks to Amanda who followed him up and down :).  Finally, it was time to go home.  We relaxed once again, and went to bed at a decent time so Cory and Amanda could get up at 4 am for some shopping!

Day 3:

This day started early for Cory and Amanda.  Cory got up and went shopping at kmart, target, and walmart.  He was able to pick up some great deals for Joey, and saved us a ton of money! After he came home and took a nap, we went to the Botanical Gardens.  Amanda had a free pass for us.  We had a ton of fun looking at all the different plants and taking lots of pictures...unfortunately this is when our SD card broke.  So the pics I post are all from Amanda and her dad. 

We came home that night and had homemade pizza made by Anthony and watched a movie.  It was a ton of fun.  After the movie we went to bed because it was already time to leave the next day.
