1. Cory's brother Kyle is coming to visit today and is staying until Monday! We are so excited to see him. He is currently a student at Cal Poly. We are hoping to go to the lake and enjoy the beautiful weekend.
2. Ever since we came home it has has been between 106-112 degrees....this weekend we will only be in the 90's and I am super excited :).
3. Joey is army crawling now, and it is amazing how fast he is getting around. But it also means he is getting into EVERYTHING! I have had to start babyproofing.
4. We had Joey's 9 month appointment yesterday. His 9 month stats are different then the have been. His height is 28 1/4 inches (50th percentile) and his weight was 19.6 lbs (25th percentile). When he was first born he was 9.6 lbs, which was almost off the charts...and he stayed around the 75th percentile, but now he seems to be slowing down. To me, it is not alarming because he eats until he is stuffed and is a happy, content baby. But I always feel guilty like I have done something wrong when the nurse or Dr. ask me why his percentile has gone down. To be honest, I think he was just born a big baby, and now he is getting into the size he is going to be. His mommy and daddy were both small children, he is probably taking after us!
5. Cory worked on a pig yesterday in lab to practice his stiching skils. He said he had fun doing it.....
6. I have found that my favorite part of the day is when Joseph wakes up from his nap and sits on my lap for about 20 minutes and cuddles with me. I especially love it when he looks up at me and smiles. I just love my little man so much!
7. My Niece Kate just celebrated her 6th birthday this week. When we called her to say happy birthday, one of the first things she told me was that she was "famous" today because it was her birthday. When I asked her what she was eating for dinner on her birthday she told me, "I am eating a lunchable, it has always been my dream to eat one for dinner." I love that girl!
Your niece Kate sounds adorable, I love that it has been her dream to eat a lunchable for dinner! Have fun with Kyle this weekend!
ReplyDeleteHey Athena, thanks for commenting on my blog, because now I've found yours! I totally wouldn't worry about Joey dropping in the percentile range, they always thin out the more active they become. As long as he is eating well, I wouldn't be alarmed. I love snuggle time too, I always feel guilty when I have to hurry and wake Ava from her nap to go get Trena from school, because that means no snuggle time.
