Family

Cory and I have really enjoyed living in Arizona thus far, however, now that we have a baby, we are realizing how important it is to live near family. We want our children to grow up near their grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Joey is changing so quickly and we have thoroughly enjoyed watching these changes, but it would be so much better if we could share those exciting moments with the members of our family.

Thankfully, we are not completely family-less here in Arizona. My Grandpa and Grandma are "snowbirds" and live in Scottsdale, AZ in the winter months. We try to visit them as often as we can. They really enjoy spending time with our little man and he does too. Just the other day they offered to watch him so Cory and I could go on a date together. This was only the second time Cory and I have been able to get away together for a date (which was to go to the movie New Moon). We had a great time and it would not have been possible without my grandparents. Anyways, right as we dropped Joey off, we gave him to my Grandma. As we were saying our goodbyes, out of nowhere, Joey started laughing so hard. It was hilarious. He caught us so off guard. By that laugh we can tell he enjoys spending time with his great-grandparents.

Below is a picture of him with my Grandma, and then the other is of him with a huge smile as he is sitting on her lap. Too cute! He is starting to drool so much lately and notice the cute double chin...he is definitely plumping up! We love it!
