Gauntlet Quotes

Ugh, I am so bad about blogging.  Life is beautiful, but busy.  Here are a few quotes from our sweet little darlings that I should share so I don't forget them :).

I was wringing out a wet towel while Joey was in the tub.
Joey: Wow mom, you are really good at getting the water out of that towel!
he pauses to watch me more
Joey: (totally serious) Are you one of the champions at it?

Me: Genevieve, I love you.
G: You don't want me to die?
Me: No, of course not.
G: You don't want me to go to church and become a statue?
Me: Um, nope, not that either.
(Although my priest pointed out she might be trying to say she wants to be a Saint...in that case....)

G: Mommy, when I get bigger, I'll make milk and help you feed Ava.

Playing make believe with Joey
G: Daddy, can you turn on Netflix for us?
J: Genevieve, remember we are ninja turtles....and we are brothers?

I decided to take all three kids to daily mass, by myself.  This was the first time and I was pretty nervous.  It is only about 30 minutes long, but right as we were preparing to walk up for Holy Communion, Joey tells me he has to go #2.  I try to get him to wait, but he really has to go.  The bathroom was within my vision, so I told him to go by himself.  After a few minutes I hear him crying...loudly.  Of course I run into the bathroom with Ava in arms and G still in the pew. As I storm into the men's bathroom I find that he has fallen in the toilet.  EWWW!  We quickly wipe him up as best we can and make it just in time for Communion.  Then straight home to take a bath.
