Long overdue update

1. We finally have internet! We were supposed to have it a month ago but you know how it goes.  You call up the internet folk and ask to sign up.  They send you the self install kit.  Your husband goes to install it and nothing happens.  Then you call and talk to about 4 different people, one who accuses  you of pretending to not be using the internet (because really we have nothing better to do) and/or just choosing not to use it (really?).  Finally you get to someone on staff who actually reads the computer to find out that your house isn't even wired for internet and they should have known that before we were even sent a self install kit (head banging on wall).  Turns out when our dish guy came to set up our tv, he had destroyed our Comcast wires (I guess it is common for them to do this for competitive reasons....REALLY??).   Oh well, all is figured out and we have internet now.

2. The move went relatively smooth.  We had so many amazing family and friends who came to help.   We were completely moved in by 4 or 5 pm.  The first few days were a little hectic trying to unpack enough to be functional.  The very next day after we moved we had to get ready for church.  It went something like this.  "Hey Athena, do you know where my belts are?"  Me, trying my absolute best not to say something smart back, "Cory, I'm not sure, probably in one of the 20 boxes sitting in our room....good luck!" We managed to pull together decent outfits and made it out the door on time...shocking I know!

3. Recent Kid Quotes.

My Friend B was watching Joey and Genna while we prepared for our move.  During that time Joey had to use the bathroom and when he finished he called out her name.  To which, Genna responded to B.  "Miss B, you need to wipe my Joey's bum!"

We have been working on speaking kindly to each other in the Gaunt house.  Most recently Cory taught our kids how to respond if someone tells you something you already know.  Instead of saying "I KNOW!" he told them to respond by saying, "Thank your for telling me, I already knew, but thanks anyway."  So the kids have been really doing a great job with that.  The other day we went out for pizza.  After Joey finished his dinner he immediately wanted to play in the ball pit.  As we were getting ready to leave, Joey said the following:

Joey: I'm still hungry
me: Joey you just ate dinner.
Joey: Thank you for telling me mom, I already knew that, but thanks anyway!

4. We had a few visits from good friends this last month as well, but hopefully those will get their own posts :).
