1. Holy Sun. The weather we have been experiencing lately is AMAZING! I am enjoying every moment. The first day, the kids and I walked/rode bikes to the park. I could pretend the walk/ride to the park was smooth, but lets be honest....it wasn't. Ava was tired so I decided to put her in the ergo, but she is not a big fan of being "worn." She took awhile to get comfortable. After I put her in the ergo, I had to get the kids helmets on and Joey loves to wear elbow and knee pads. Trying to bend over and put those on while trying to keep a sleeping Ava asleep was nearly impossible. I finally got the kids ready, but I had to get Joey going on his bike. He has been riding a bike without pedals since he was 3.5, but he got a new bike that is just barely too big for him to start on his own. I have to run with him for a few seconds and then he is off. Of course every time he stops we have to do it all over again. Ava kept screaming each time I had to bend over. Needless to say, by the time we arrived at the park, I was a sweaty mess, somewhat frazzled, and questioning whether I should have just stayed home instead of taking all 3 kids out on my own. The moment we got to the park, things went much smoother and I realized the hard work paid off. It was a beautiful morning, and I am sure I will be brave enough to do it again...
2. 10K in 8 weeks? Why not. So I
mistakenly mentioned to my friend Karen that I went for a run on Tuesday. My text read "So I went for a run this morning and spent 20 minutes thinking I was going to pass out after the run." Her response? Lets sign up for a 10K and run it together when I come visit in 8 weeks. Ummm.....did you read my text right? I said I almost passed out. I ran a mile and almost died. The next thing I know I get an 8 week plan to prepare for a 10K. Luckily for Karen, I am just as crazy as she is, so the preparation begins. After my almost life ending run on Tuesday, I ran 2.5 miles on Thursday and felt great. So grateful for good friends who challenge me.
3. 3 kids (including a breastfeeding baby), 1 mom, entire house to pack, a yard to weed, husband who will be working 5 long days a week, and weekends that are pretty busy. Enough said. AHHH.

4. Questions. Joey has been asking them like crazy lately. I am amazed at what he asks. A few topics we have discussed lately:
-Why we are not gray, which led to discussing skin tones and why some people have darker skin tones than others.
-Whether Joey is a scientist or not.
-How Joey would like to walk on Mars.
-That the heart is a muscle (which Joey informed us on)
-adoption
5. We get to meet the owner of our hopefully new house in 15 days, give or take a few. He is going to show us some of the ins and outs of our new home. I can't wait to see it again.
6. Sweet Ava gave us quite the scare. I took her to her 4 month doctor appointment and the doctor noticed a fork shape (fork in the road) on her lower back where the crease of her bottom starts. She had just read a research article about this situation and it had suggested getting an ultrasound to check her spine. I was able to get in the next day and the tech took pictures of her back. She had to lay on her tummy, which she didn't love, but eventually fell asleep. She called the Radiologist in to look and they both agreed she looked great! Phew.

7. The other day I decided to be goofy with the kids and put my hair up in a goofy way I used to do in high school with some of my girlfriends.
Demonstrated here:
Genna thought it was silly and was laughing. Joey just looked confused. While I was taking the above photo, Joey lost it. He really didn't like my hair. Which led me to taking the following video:
My poor sensitive little boy :).
Your family is too precious!
