Whirlwind life

Life has been INSANE!

Seriously, cannot believe how quickly time is going and how busy we have become.  If you haven't spoken to me recently you may not know the following.

A) We are moving to Spokane.  Cory starts his new job in a few weeks and we are really looking forward to it.  We had dinner with his new boss and his wife and had a great time.  It was time for a change and with a lot of prayer we made this decision.

B) We are in the process of buying our first home.  After moving 6 times in the entire 6 years (4 in the last two years) we have been married, we are looking forward to a more permanent move.  Joey asked, "mom, can we please live in this house forever?"  Amen son!  We are under contract now, so fingers crossed everything works out and we can close by the middle/end of May.

C) Tball!  Joey started playing Tball this spring and it is AWESOME!  I can't stop laughing the entire game.  At his last game, while standing on second base he discovered he could actually lift the base off the ground and flip it over.  What a discovery.  It has made me miss softball and I am considering joining an intermural team this summer.

D) Ava is turning 4 months old this week! How is she growing so fast.  She is seriously the best baby ever.  She has been sleeping through the night (12 hours) since she was  11 weeks old.  She is so content when she is up and will sleep anywhere....my arms (my favorite), the swing, the couch, her bed, etc.  She has discovered her voice and loves to use it :).  She recently started grabbing things and rolling over onto her side.  She loves to suck anything.  We just adore her.

E) Genevieve is growing into such an amazing girl.  She is still a bundle of energy.  She loves wearing dresses and skirts all the time.  She is quite the talker and is constantly asking questions.  One of the things I love most about her is when she randomly tells you she loves you.  On Easter Sunday Mass, just as everyone sat down to begin the first reading, Genna, very loudly, says "Daddy, I love you!"  Everyone in our section lets out an "ahhhhhhh."   It was so sweet.

F.  Easter Sunday was so much fun.  We went to Mass with Cory's family and then rushed to our house to clean up and get the Ham in the oven.  We hosted my side of the family (my parents, Grandpa, Aunt Jean and Uncle David).  The kids searched for their Easter Eggs and Easter Baskets when everyone arrived.  After the egg hunt, my dad and Grandpa pulled out our broken lawn mower and fixed it!  Man were we thrilled, and Cory now knows a lot more about how our lawn mower works.  We then shared an awesome meal together.  It was a lot of fun.  We did however really miss Grandma this year. These are the times where she is missed the most.  She loved spending the holidays with her family.  In honor of her, we used flowers from her funeral as our centerpiece.  We love you Grandma and miss you dearly.
