2. Distraction at Mass: Lately Joseph has been SO funny at church, which is not always a good thing because he distracts EVERYONE around him. We feel obligated to sit in the back so others can stay focused on the Mass. The last few times we have been to church, people have hunted us down afterwards just to come tell us how cute he is. Today we went to daily Mass (Cory has the day off of school) and once again, he was laughing so hard and talking all through the service....We just love him so much. We are so thankful he is such a joyful little man.
3. Goodbye's are never fun: Before we moved to Arizona, I was so worried we would not have any friends and that we would be lonely, but like everyone said, we met people right away. I am very luck to be a part of a Christian medical wives support group. We meet once a week and do a bible study one week and a social the next. It is so fun to get to know other wives/moms. Unfortunately, we have come to the time of the year when graduation happens, meaning several of my friends are leaving us. Last weekend we had a farewell brunch for those girls leaving and then the other night, we had a little dinner for my friend Megan who is leaving on Monday. I am so sad to see them all leave. Megan and Adam are moving to San Diego for his ER residency. Melissa and Robert are leaving for San Antonio for his residency. Darcy and Eric are moving to Chicago for one year and then Atlanta for the next three years. Celeste and her husband are leaving for Quincy, Illinois for his family practice residency, and our friends Alyssa and Michael are leaving for Cottonwood, AZ for his rotations. Here are a few pics from the brunch and dinner

4. Cory found out that his first dental patient is going to need most of their teeth pulled and will need Dentures! Pretty exciting for a first patient :).
5. We are going to Washington in two weeks to visit. May 20-June 5....we are really excited to see family and friends!
6. Lately I have been really into video editing. It is such a fun way to keep track of all the videos we record. Cory came up with a fun idea to put together a video for each year of our "Gaunt Family highlights" and watch them as a family on New Years Eve. What a fun tradition to start. Can't wait to begin!
7. My BF Amanda (maid of honor in my wedding) is coming to visit next weekend. I can't wait to see her. We have been friends since kindergarten. She lives in Colorado now, so we havee seen each other more than we used to since AZ and CO are so close. We are going to go to a UW vs. ASU softball game and probably relax by the pool. I can't wait for you to get here manders!
1. See you don't have a fussy baby, but a very HAPPY baby. =)
ReplyDelete2. I <3 your new tradition! No one ever watches their family videos, but what a great way to do so!
Thanks for posting the photos of the SBS group....goodbyes are never easy. It's been almost a year and I'm still getting over it. So fun to see all of you with your little ones and wish I could be there too. Hugs!
